The idea of a special day to celebrate and honor fatherhood was first introduced in the United States. In the US, father’s day has been celebrated since June 1910. In 2021 Fathers Day is on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
Fathers are the backbone of the family. They are the ones responsible for nurturing the wellness of the family. Though every day is meant to be special for them and should be celebrated, this one day makes it very special to cherish all the hard work done by them.
This day celebrates the love that one feels towards their father and is paying homage to them in a special way. One who is always with us as a strength, no matter however we are. But he is always with us, sometimes he fails to express his love directly but this doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love us. This day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. It is celebrated honoring fathers and the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic countries of Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 (Saint Joseph’s Day) since the Middle Ages.

Father’s Day was born from a big Mine Disaster. In 1907, ln a mine accident, 362 men died and 250 of them were Father who left behind their widow’s and about 1000 children’s to starve. This was the world’s biggest mine accident. Father’s day, we are celebrating is not a happy day but pain and sadness of poor souls.
